Wayne Hill Sales Associate
When I was a young, I had the benefit of living in many places the United States and the World. Starting in Japan, we moved about every 1 ½ to 2 years. We lived in Germany and traveled extensively in Europe. I lived in Lockport, NY, Barnstable Harbor, MA, several towns in New Jersey, and El Paso Texas. As an adult, I lived in New Jersey where I owned my own engineering firm. Since selling that company, I lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and I finally found my home in Wyoming in 2008.
I have spent all of my adult life in the real estate business. I started a construction company when I graduated from High School. As a builder, I constructed many custom homes. I sold the company several years later and went to college at Southern Illinois University where I received a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. As an engineer, I designed subdivisions, commercial, industrial, educational, institutional, and specialty development projects. There we even a few research and development projects in energy management and potable water treatment, including using water treatment plant waste, wheat chaff, citrus waste, and molasses as livestock feed in the early 80’s. That was before recycling had a name.
I worked as a developer for a nationwide homebuilder in the Washington, DC area preparing finished lots for construction of new homes (600-700 each year). The 10-year development pipeline for the company totaled approximately 17,000 lots.
I had my real estate salesman’s license in Virginia, finding and selling vacant land for new home construction, before I moved to Wyoming in 2008. While in Wyoming, I managed a branch office for an engineering firm in Sheridan and was for a time the Engineer for the City of Buffalo and Johnson County. Most recently, I was the Public Works Director and Airport Manager for Washakie County. Stuck in the middle of all of that, I was a chef at a lodge for a summer.
