If you're looking for a bit of fresh air or a full 'workout', Sheridan has a great Walking Pathway System. For a bit more of an outdoor adventure, check out the maps and information for a few of these top local parks.
Sheridan Area Parks
Kendrick Park
Nestled right along Big Goose Creek, Kendrick Park offers a public swimming pool, an expansive playground, and even an ice cream stand, and is the site for many summer events. You'll also probably see a few elk and buffalo roaming around the wide-open green space!
Marshall Park
A large grassy field, BBQ pits, a cozy little playground—Marshall Park is just south of downtown and the perfect spot for a picnic or a game of pick-up soccer.
Sheltered Acres Park
A more secluded option, Sheltered Acres Park features scenic waterfront views of the Little Goose River, as well as a walking path, tennis courts, a disc golf course, and a playground.
Washington Park
Another chunk of green space tucked along the Little Goose Creek, Washington Park is just off Coffeen Avenue. Here, you'll find a play area, basketball courts, and covered tables.
South Park
Less of a park and more of an open space, South Park is undeveloped but well-maintained and provides easy access to Sheridan's public pathway system. It's also a great spot to lounge on the benches and watch the ducks swim by along the creek!
