Roy was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.   He then worked for real estate investment and property management companies.  

He decided that the corporate real estate and facilities area suited him and he spent twelve years with The Walt Disney Company.   There he worked in three different divisions.   He spent four years with Walt Disney Imagineering – the group that designs and builds the Theme parks.   He managed their real estate portfolio, leased and/or purchased all the office, industrial, mock-up, stage and residential space they needed to conduct business.

After his time as an “Imagineer”, he transferred to Walt Disney Feature Animation, where he was the Senior Manager of Operations for the division.   There, in addition to managing day-to-day facility operations, he helped open a new state-of-the-art animation studio on the main Studio Lot.   He also headed the project team to design and build an animation art library to house over a billion dollars of animated artwork.

After six and a half years with Feature Animation, Roy transferred to the Main Disney Studio Lot where he worked in the Facilities & Services Department.    While at Disney, Roy obtained his Master of Business Administration degree.

Roy then had the opportunity to head the real estate department for a regional auto insurance provider in the Los Angeles area.   He joined 21^st Century Insurance (no relation to Century 21).   There, he worked directly with the Senior Management team of the Company in re-organizing and re-charting their real estate portfolio.   His efforts led to extensive cost reduction and increased flexibility.   Among his more important projects, Roy was placed in charge of researching, locating and opening a 1,000 seat call center for the Company.   He completed this successfully with the opening of the center in Lewisville, Texas (a suburb of Dallas), on time and under budget.

When AIG opted to purchase 21^st Century Insurance in 2007, Roy decided it was time to pursue his own dream and use his knowledge and experience to work with Bruce Garber at CENTURY 21 BHJ Realty in Sheridan, WY.    It was a quality of life decision.  

His work experience and travel has been quite diverse.   He has been to all 50 states and has traveled internationally.   His skills in financial analysis, planning, budgeting and general business issues are quite developed.  He has participated in millions of square feet of property lease and purchase transactions and has successfully matched the goals of senior management with many real estate portfolios.

Today, Roy employs his business management and real estate analysis skills to the benefit of his clients and enjoys life in Wyoming.
