The area lying West of Main Street from Courthouse Hill to the Kendrick Mansion is the original settlement of Sheridan. Many of the first custom-built homes were constructed in this area, beginning in the late 1800’s. Homes typically are in the $200,000--$350,000 range; however, there are also a few upscale homes scattered throughout. Big Goose Creek flows through the center of town and the neighborhoods are surrounded by Kendrick Park, Whitney Commons and the YMCA. The area is within walking distance to historic downtown Sheridan.
